Ellis
Traub is on a mission. It is to empower every person to invest
successfully.
He clearly,
and in an easy to understand way, draws a picture of how, why,
and when to invest for consistently high returns.
Technamental
investing is a term Ellis Traub coined that expresses his
successful marriage of technical (graphic and visual) and fundamental
(operation and financial condition) styles of decision making
when investing in common stocks. Technamental investing is a long-term,
buy-and-hold, fundamental investment philosophy that can double
your profits steadily and surely. Computers speed up this method,
but it can also be used successfully by hand.
Traubs
life was changed when he attended an educational session conducted
by the National Association of Investors Corporation (NAIC.)
This nonprofit association has 750,000 members and over 3,000
volunteers nationwide who regularly assist with educating people
interested in investing through the group support of investment
clubs.
It is
an established fact that NAIC members who have followed their
organizations methods diligently have been able to pick
four out of five winners and to double that money every five years.
This equates to a 15% compounded annual return.
Take
Stock shows readers how to:
- Pick companies
that do well
- Double their money
every five years
- Simplify portfolio
maintenance
- Avoid tax on stock
gains
Each chapter
ends with a succinct summary of the most important points to help
reinforce learning.
Mr. Traub
first developed software, an interactive CD-ROM, The Investors
Toolkit, to help with decisions picking successful stocks. However,
he found that the software was daunting without a clear roadmap
to how and why it should be used. Therefore, he wrote Take Stock
and included a primer CD-ROM.It offers interactive quizzes for
each chapter. The CD also gives a step-by-step tour of everything
we should be familiar with when researching a stock. How to deal
with data and analyze a company are included. A sample of The
Investors Toolkit is also included.
Arkansas
is fortunate to have volunteer state directors for NAIC.They are
Dick and Jean Wallace, who will be conducting educational seminars
statewide to empower investors. Leave a message of your interest
